Volunteering at Swan Lake
Volunteer Hour Requirements
As per club bylaws, each family is required to complete four hours of volunteer work annually. We operate on an honor system for tracking these hours.
Identifying Volunteer Opportunities
We maintain a comprehensive list of ongoing tasks and jobs that need attention throughout the year and will share this list via email and Facebook
- Many tasks on this list are grounds-related, such as gardening. Feel free to take the initiative and assist with these, or contact any board member or the club manager for guidance.
- If you’re interested in regularly maintaining a specific area (e.g., weeding or trash pickup), inform a Board member, and we’ll officially assign you to that role.
Leveraging Special Skills
Do you possess a special skill or talent that could benefit the club? We are keen to know about it. We aim to establish a database of members with expertise in areas like electrical work, plumbing, technology, or artistry to call upon when specific needs arise.
Events
Our events follows a cooperative planning model. We encourage volunteer members to lead event coordination. This lead volunteer will partner with a Board member to plan and execute events.
Sign-Up Genius links for events will be shared on our Facebook page and via email. If you require assistance with signing up, please don’t hesitate to ask.
